Hello! My name is Jen and welcome to my blog. Family, health, and hunting are my biggest joys. Christ is my rock and I Am Second! My site is always a work in progress, a way for me to save information while sharing my experiences and other helpful resources.
I enjoy fishing and hunting with my husband, our daughter and son-in-law. Hunting brings us all together and it is necessary for conservation and management of wildlife. Most state wildlife conservation efforts are primarily funded by the fees for hunting license, tags and stamps. There are many organizations that provide outreach for youth and disabled sportsmen as well as education about sustainability of hunting for both hunters and non-hunters, and supporting preservation. Check out HunterGreen.org for one!
When it comes to food, I'm a huge advocate for clean eating but our choices over the last several decades have been compromised and it's affecting our health. My own family has no prior history of diabetes but my mother developed it in her late sixties and then one of my brothers during his late forties. My mother-in-law died from diabetes at the young age of 52. It is a devastating disease and we need to make better choices when it comes to food.
To me, it's about sticking to the basics. Grow your own vegetables, eat clean, and get outside. Take control by taking care of yourself and your family!
